About Destination

Austria, officially the Republic of Austria, is a federal republic and a landlocked country in Central Europe, bordering Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Italy.

The terrain is highly mountainous, lying within the Alps. Together with Switzerland, Austria is the winter sports country of Europe. The Austrian Alps are divided into a northern and a southern range, both offering majestic mountains and marvellous scenery. Furthermore, Austria is known as a land of lakes, with the Lake Constance (Bodensee) and the Neusiedler Lake (Neusiedlersee) being the largest and most well-known.

Due to its central location in Europe, Austria has always been a central meeting point throughout history, which gave it a diversion of cultures. Being influenced by North, South, West and East, Austria has always been the country you have to pass to go from one side to the other.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Vienna (D)

On your arrival to Vienna Airport Meet & Greet service by our representative and depending on the arrival time transfer by private coach for lunch or to check into your hotel. Check in and refresh at the hotel, rest of the day is free for leisure to explore the city on own. Dinner at Indian Restaurant included. Overnight stay in Vienna. 

Day 2 - Vienna (B, L, D)

After breakfast enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Vienna including entry to Schonbrunn Palace - the summer residence of the Habsburg family, home of Maria Theresia. Highlights of the panoramic city tour: Ringstrasse, State Opera House, Museum of Fine Arts, Natural History Museum, Hofburg, Parliament, Belvedere Palace. Some free time for shopping. Overnight stay in Vienna. 

Day 3 - Vienna - Salzburg (B, L, D)

After breakfast check out and transfer to the city of Salzburg, where after lunch meet with our tour guide for a sightseeing tour viewing the sights where the film "Sound of Music" was made. Along the historical and architectural landmarks spot the scenes of the movie, visit Mirabell Gardens where Maria and the children sang "Do-Re-Me" around the Pegasus statue. Overnight in Salzburg. 

Day 4 - Salzburg - Hallein Salt mines - Innsbruck (B, L, D)

After breakfast check out and depart to visit The Hallein Salt Mine - Salzbergwerk Dürrnberg - what is an underground salt mine located in the Dürrnberg plateau above Hallein in Austria. The mine has been worked for over 7,000 years since the time of the Celtic tribes and earlier. After the visit drive to Innsbruck for dinner and to check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Innsbruck.

Day 5 - Innsbruck (B, L, D)

After breakfast visit the Swarovski Crystal Museum where you have the opportunity to pop into the Store to purchase some gorgeous crystals. After lunch enjoy a short sightseeing tour of the city of Innsbruck, walk through the medieval Old Town, hear hidden stories behing The Hofburg and Hofkirche and admire spectacular views over the Austrian Alps. Overnight in Innsbruck. 

Day 6 - Innsbruck - Departure (B)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and enjoy your last morning free of leisure - walk around in the city, do some last minute shopping. Private coach transfer to the airport for departure back home.
